I grew up watching my dad develop film in his darkroom and I’ve been hooked on photography ever since. I shot my first wedding in 1999 and now specialize in portraiture and weddings.
I have the background, experience and equipment to get the look you want. No matter if you like a look that’s warm and inviting, that “modern earthy” look, or something else altogether, I can make it happen.
Let’s get together and talk about your vision for your photos. We can make it work for you.
FAQ:
Q: What are your prices?
A: See my Contact page, I can send you a price sheet.
Q: Do you do your own edits?
A: 100% yes. Each and every image is exactly as I intend, edited in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Q: How do you structure weddings?
A: The big thing is you have me for your whole day, whatever that is. I don’t nickle and dime on hours. I typically show up and the end of “getting ready/makeup” and stay until the last event is over at the reception.
Q: How do you deliver the images?
A: In a Google drive, where they live for 2 years after the date of the event/shoot. (I give you plenty of time to get them downloaded.)
Q: Can I print the photos? What about social media use?
A: That will be in your contract, but essentially once I deliver them they’re yours to use as you like. Corporate usage is different and depends on contract language.
Q: Do you use a second photographer/assistant?
A: Usually for weddings yes. It depends on the size of the wedding.
Q: Can I work for you?
A: Maybe. I’m in a very good space with that right now but life happens and I need someone from time to time. Contact me.
Q: Will you take 20 pounds off of me?
A: No. I will use lighting and angles to make you look your very best, but I don’t do manipulation of images that way.
Q: Are you a natural light photographer?
A: I use what I need to make the best images possible. That usually means flash of some sort, but not all venues allow it. I also think it’s kind of obnoxious to use flash during a wedding ceremony, so I don’t during that time.
Q: How long will it take to get my photos?
A: It depends. Smaller sessions like family portraits will probably take a few days tops. Weddings can be 6-8 weeks. Quality takes time, and I personally edit every single photo.
